Korean Cosmetics Haul

Recently I got a couple of new Korean products to try out over the holidays that I thought I'd share! I purchased:

Etude House Dear My Party Nails Polish #PPK002
Etude House Water Color Blusher #04 Lilac
Holika Holika Wonder Drawing 24HR Auto Eyebrow #03 Light Brown

I've been looking for a rose-gold glitter nail polish with no luck, however I stumbled across this gorgeous pink glitter shade from the Dear My Party Nails line from Etude House. The packaging is soo cute! I was expecting the shade to appear quite sheer on the nails, however I used 2 thick coats under a nude base and it was surprisingly quite opaque. A lovely pink glitter polish if you are looking for one!
Lately I've been really into lilacs, and after seeing a Baby Face makeup look on Get it Beauty using this blusher I knew I had to try it out! The tube is tiny, you only get 10ml of product but a little goes a long way with this blusher. The concept for the packaging is so cute and unique, although I do fear getting it mixed up with my acrylic paints! Colour pay off is good and looks really lovely on fairer complexions.
Next up is the Holika Holika Wonder Drawing auto eyebrow. I've (shockingly) never been into eyebrows, particularly as my eyebrows are naturally very full. However, I thought I'd give this a go as it was so cheap. As you can see, there is an eyebrow spoolie on one end, and the other contains the twist up eyebrow stick. When swatching I found it hard to get a strong colour to appear, and the formula is quite waxy. But this makes it much easier to apply as you can build up the colour, and the lasting power is pretty good!
Here's a swatch  of the blusher and eyebrow stick~

Definitely looking forward to trying out more Korean products in the future!

AVON Cosmetics Haul

I'm back after a little hiatus with a tiny haul from Avon. I'm not a huge fan of Avon cosmetics, but some of their products are amazing and staples in my makeup collection. With Christmas around the corner, I decided to try out some new products to compliment the festive season.

First, I bought an Avon Nailwear Pro+ Nail Enamel in the shade Golden Vision. This is a lovely pale gold colour, almost a champagne colour I would say. In the brochure it appeared very yellow/gold but it's definitely a paler shade. In the swatch below I applied 2 coats. Really cannot go wrong with Avon nail polishes as they are very affordable and almost always have great colour pay-off and staying power.

My other purchase was the Avon Glimmerstick Diamonds eyeliner in the shade Golden Diamond. Despite its name, this is much more of a yellow based gold. I like this colour as it is much more subtle and natural compared to a true gold colour. I can see this working really well for creating aegyo-sal on the lower eye area, or maybe as a highlight for the inner corners.

Overall I'm super impressed with these products. I can't wait to try out the eyeliner!

Replica Winged Backpack Review (Lost Mannequin Sid Bag)

I jumped on the Tumblr bandwagon and finally bought myself a winged backpack which I'd been wanting to buy for a while. This review is for a replica of the Lostmannequin Sid backpack which are getting pretty popular lately. I haven't seen any reviews for the replica versions, so I thought I'd share my views for anyone who is considering buying a replica. Warning, this is image heavy!

Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter Mini Review: 047 Pink Lemonade

This is just a quick review or perhaps a first impression, of the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in the new shade Pink Lemonade. First off, the packaging is gorgeous (part of the reason I bought it) and looks really pretty on display. The bullet holding the lip butter is also nice but is a little deceiving, as probably less than half of the bullet actually holds any product.

The application is smooth and glides on the lips quite well, thanks to the light and creamy formula. I do find this lip butter to be moisturizing on my lips and comfortable to wear, as opposed to some lipsticks and lip glosses  that can be quite thick.

Pink Lemonade is exactly what is says. A pale pink with a warm hue, which is slightly peachy. The colour pay off is initially not that great, but it is very easy to build up a fuller colour. I find this to be flattering on
my skin tone, which is very pale. So I would advise anyone with medium skin tones to give this shade a miss, or perhaps swatch it instore before purchasing.

Personally, this shade is a really great everyday natural colour for anyone with fair skin. I like to apply this lightly to give my lips a hint of colour without looking too overdone. It does need reapplying throughout the day but this is what I would expect from a lip butter.

Overall, this is a really nice product if you are looking for a light, hydrating lip product. I'm looking forward to trying more shades in the future with stronger pigmentation such as Lollipop and Raspberry Pie.

Primark A/W 2013 Collection: My Picks

It's now September, and autumn is well on its way to the UK which I am really pleased about. Autumn is my favourite season alongside winter for fashion. Primark's new AW collection is slowly starting to arrive in stores so I thought I'd share my favourites of the collection that has been unveiled so far!

The limited edition bags that have been released are stunning, especially this black, red and white one with gold studs. I definitely prefer the statement bags as opposed to the statement jewellery that Primark have released. It looks like the sports luxe trend is here to stay this season and will join regular autumn and winter trends leather, plaid, tartan and leopard print.

The new shoe collection looks stunning, and the buckled boots have really caught my eye. Another favourite is the introduction of crombie coats for the season. The pale pink coat looks gorgeous, and will brighten up any outfit. It would look lovely in the winter and will work well as a transition piece into spring, considering how cold and dull British weather is all year round!

What are your favourite picks from the collection? Have Primark captured any of your favourite trends for this season? Comment below!

Topshop, Primark and Boots Haul

Earlier this week I made an order from Topshop, as they are having a huge end of summer sale. I also took a trip to Birmingham to update my wardrobe which has definitely seen better days, and to pick up a couple of beauty items despite having terrible luck finding the products I wanted. I managed to pick up a few bargains which I am really quite happy with!
